This activity has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 39.50 AAPA Category I CME credits. In addition, the optional Wednesday Pre-Conference Day Program has been reviewed and is approved for 9.00 AAPA Category I CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. These activities have been planned in accordance with AAPA CME Standards for Live Programs and for Commercial Support of Live Programs.

CME for Nurse Practitioners: NPs can claim credit from SDPA conference programs; however they must obtain verification directly from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) by calling 1-800-284-2378.

General Conference Program Cancellation Policy

A cancellation fee of $75.00 will be charged for all general conference registrations canceled on or before March 15, 2019. Cancellations made after this date will be subject to the following refunds:

  • March 16, 2019 thru April 15, 2019: 50% of Conference Registration fee.
  • April 16, 2019 thru May 1, 2019: 25% of Conference Registration fee.

Pre-Conference Program Cancellation Policy

A cancellation fee of $25.00 will be charged for all pre-conference program registrations canceled on or before March 15, 2019. Cancellations made after this date will be subject to the following refunds:

  • March 16, 2019 thru April 15, 2019: 50% of the Pre-Conference Registration fee.
  • April 16, 2019 thru May 1, 2019: 25% of the Pre-Conference Registration fee.

After May 1, 2019, no financial refunds or credits will be provided for cancellations. We will only accept cancellations after this date for (1) Death in the family (2) Medical reason (3) Natural disaster. If approved for a cancellation of this type, the SDPA will accommodate you with access to online accredited recordings of the General Conference, once available. Recordings are typically released within 3-4 months after each conference.

All cancellation notifications should be emailed to SDPA Conference Management at Please allow four (4) weeks for the processing of any approved refund.

SDPA reserves the right to cancel the Conference up to four (4) weeks prior to the event. In the event of cancellation, conference organizers cannot be responsible for reimbursement of airline fees and/or accommodation expenses.

The Conference program fee includes breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks for the PARTICIPANT ONLY, as detailed in the Conference Program. All meals, with the exception of the Wednesday Pre-Conference breakfast and the Sunday General Conference breakfast, will be provided by pharmaceutical or other industry as part of product theaters. It is the responsibility of the participant to know their state laws and employer regulations regarding acceptance of meals and gifts. Conference registrants should not register to participate in the meals if they are barred from accepting meals and gifts (inclusive of certain thresholds) provided by the pharmaceutical and/or other industry by their employer and/or state licensing board. The SDPA cannot provide separate meals for participants who do not register to attend product theaters, and participants will need to make their own meal arrangements.

CME Certificates & Needs Assessment Survey

At the conclusion of the Conference, or at the time you are ready to depart, please visit the staff at the SDPA Registration Booth to receive your Certificate of Attendance.

Attendees will be asked to complete an online Needs Assessment Survey at the conclusion of the conference. The survey helps us to continually improve our conferences for the benefits of our attendees. The survey helps us to evaluate the event and continually make improvements for the benefit of our attendees. The survey will be available on the conference website and in the conference mobile app.


The Pre-Conference, General Conference and the Exhibit Hall will be held in the Marquis Ballroom on the Meetings Level 2 of the Marriott Marquis Hotel; the SDPA Registration booths will be in the same area.


While every attempt will be made to control the temperature in the meeting room for your comfort, please remember to bring a jacket or sweater. If you have any dietary needs, please let us know at the time of registration.


The SDPA works hard to accommodate the needs of our attendees. To assist nursing mothers we have secured a room Wednesday through Sunday, please check at the SDPA Registration Booth for room location and access.


We encourage participation by all individuals. If you have a disability, advance notification of any special needs will help us better serve you; please contact at least eight (8) weeks prior to the event.


You must provide a valid email address when you register online to receive a Conference Confirmation/Receipt. Communications regarding Conference updates will only be made via email. Please remember to check your spam/junk mailbox for confirmation emails and receipts.


All credit card charges relating to the Conference will be made by SDPA, your credit card statement will reflect as such. If you are using a company credit card please provide your employer with this information. Please do not dispute this charge, as it will invalidate your Registration.


Payment by check will only be accepted on a case-by-case basis as an alternative to the preferred method of credit card payment. If you need to pay for your registration via check, you MUST contact SDPA Conference Management for approval at PRIOR to completing the registration form.
