Abstracts & Posters

The planning committee for the 2019 SDPA Annual Summer Dermatology Conference is calling for Abstract & Poster submissions.

A maximum of two (2) abstract/poster submissions are permitted per individual/organization.

Submissions are independently reviewed by the CME Review Panel and accepted based on scientific value and educational need. The presentation of new concepts and unique observations are an integral part of the Conference’s continuing education program. If approved you will be able to virtually display your poster on SDPA provided electronic screens that will rotate all conference posters at timed intervals and have your abstract printed in the attendee’s Scientific Abstracts & Posters publication; in addition, submissions will be accessible to the attendees on the SDPA conference website, www.sdpaconferences.org, and through the conference mobile app.


ABSTRACT FORMAT AND GUIDELINES

File Formats: You must submit each abstract for review in MICROSOFT WORD and PDF formats.

File Name Format: The file name on the email subject line and the filename on document itself should be the same and should be no more than 50 characters in length. Example: FLateef_Treatment of Palmo-plantar_Sum19

Page Format: Abstracts must be 8.5” x 11”; margins: 1 inch top, bottom, left and right, single-spaced; laser printer quality.

Font: Font size must be Arial, 12 point

Length: 500 word maximum, includes title, author names, author affiliations and references. When finished with your abstract, count the words to ensure you have not exceeded the prescribed limit.

The abstract should contain the following: a) introduction that states the purpose of the study; b) a brief description of the procedure/study; c) a brief description of the results; and d) conclusion.
Tables or illustrations may not be included in abstracts.

The submission deadline for Abstracts is March 20, 2019.

Abstract submissions must be sent via e-mail to conferences@dermpa.org and MUST include the submission form, together with payment. Credit card charge will be made once abstract has been approved. No refunds once charge has been made.


POSTER FORMAT AND GUIDELINES

Virtual Poster Display: Please note no physical posters will be displayed, a one page version of your poster should be submitted for virtual display.
Poster format must be single page (8.5” x 11”) PDF file format, no exceptions will be made.

Author: Include all authors, Affiliation

Commercialism: Any display at the SDPA Annual Summer Dermatology Conference in which the cost is underwritten by a pharmaceutical company or other entity must avoid commercialism. Drugs, instrumentation, or devices are not to use trade names. If such situations occur, the exhibit is responsible to identify and clearly state on the display that a portion or portions of the cost were provided by the commercial company named.

The submission deadline for Posters is April 22, 2019.

POSTERS – DISPLAY SCHEDULE

Posters will be on virtual display for viewing on electronic screens that will be shared with all approved posters in pre-function area, and will rotate at timed intervals, from Thursday, June 6 through Saturday, June 8, 2019

No physical posters will be allowed to be displayed.
